The key to narrowing down the identity of this one is the date, below the mosque dome: 1358. The numeral "5" is in the Persian style; only Iran and Afghanistan use this on coins.
It's from Iran, one of the "azadi" series of gold bullion coins of AD 1979 (KM# 1238 to 1241). The azadi has the exact same actual gold weight as a British sovereign; though slightly heavier, they are also slightly less fine.
