Can anyone tell me what caused all the anomalies with this penny, please? First off there looks to be a circular impression under the Lincoln Memorial. Secondly there seems to be an unusual blob in between the third and fourth pillars from the left. Also, the letters in the word "STATES" start off thin and get thinner. There are also numerous small lines leading from the bottom left and right of the Memorial and also from the top left. The whole thing seemed unusual so I thought I would ask the experts. All ideas are welcome and appreciated. Thanks!

The circular impression and blob in the bay is part of a die clash and the thinner letters and scratches are the result of the mint trying to repair the design by polishing it. The clash seen here though may have also come after it was polished.

Good-day Sudz... The circular impression under the Lincoln Memorial... Looks like a "die clash"... Lincoln's bust line through the third and fourth pillars or is it his nose or back of his head/collar.?... just my guess...maybe an expert can jump in here and help out with this and the lettering.

...and as I was replying...and posting...one did.. (smile)

Obviously, I am not familiar with these anomalies, is it worth hanging on to?

It is a die clash and I would put it in a 2x2 and hang on to it. Not much if any premium though,it's just neat. Any evidence of a clash on the obverse?

Nope, no evidence of the clash on the obverse at all. Thanks for the advice, I'll hang on to it. I appreciate all the help.
