While I don't consider the quarters of the Statehood Quarters program to be true commemorative coins (see my post on Commemoratives vs. Thematics here: https://goccf.com/t/138491), I do recognize their commemorative theme and (like so many others) put together a set of them as they were released. Along the way, I added a few interesting pieces of associated ephemera but did not make a concerted effort to track such items down for each quarter's release.

One item I was fortunate enough to come across was the commemorative holder that Wells Fargo sponsored for the 2005 California quarter. As shown below, the holder is an attractive cardboard folder that features a number of interesting tidbits about California, John Muir, Yosemite National Park and the California Condor along with an encapsulated quarter from the Denver Mint. I was able to acquire the holder with and without the embedded coin.

The special package was sold for $5.00 with proceeds going to benefit the California State History Museum; the commemorative holder was available at Wells Fargo's history museums in California, the California State History Museum, the California State Capitol Museum and from the California State Library Foundation.

I'm not aware of a similar official coin holder/package being created for any of the other Statehood Quarters, but would certainly be interested in hearing about them from other CCF members!
