Got this back in change this AM. I researched the bill and saw it was from a run of 640,000. Should I keep it or is the condition too poor? Thanks

Dumb question - What makes one a "star" note?

Hi,
a star note is a replacement bill.
These notes replace the waste production of a series.
For example, if 50.000 bills were printed and 500 of them have manufacturing defects these missing bills will be replaced with the stars.
The total production has to be exactly right at the end.
So the poor, rejected Bills will be replaced by these stars.
This bills are much rarer. The star marks since 1917 the replacement notes of the United States.
The star was used much earlier before 1917 but only as a design element.
I hope my english is not too bad.

A little extra research shows it was printed in April 2007.
