Here's a new purchase. Photo is terrible so I'm hoping the coin will be nicer than what is depicked here. I'm post new photos when it arrives.

Carinus, as Augustus (283-285 AD).Billon Antoninianus.Rome Mint.Radiate head right/Aeternitas standing left, holding phoenix on a globe. RIC 248.

I hope that it turns out nicely. A nice example. The phoenix on globe is interesting iconography.

A nice one, congrats. I have seen this one before and the seller is ok.

Your coin belongs to Rome it's not RIC 248 but RIC 249.
It's the only AETERNIT AVGG that's not in my collection

La Venera hoard 3 specimen.

That's a pleasing example of an antoninianus of a semi scarce Emperor.
Nicely centered, with the legends complete and well (almost!) struck up.
Billon and AE coins of this Emperor are of about the same scarcity.

I think you will be pleasantly surprised that the coin is better in hand.

It's a nice one.

Coin arrived and I am happy with how it looks. Their scan wasn't too far off.

Looks great.

I like the Phoenix. What's Artemis holding in the other hand? Hem of dress or bow?

Eddop, thanks for that, ol doucet wasn't paying attention. He's had Greek gods on his mind lately. If it starts with A, it must be Greek....duh

IGE's coin is nice though. I have only one Carinus/Mercury that I'm very fond of.
