Hi all,
I am a new user here, and I was wondering that if I have some coins and I am trying to find out where it came from and its history, its originality, and its market value is it possible to post an image here and ask the other collectors and experts in this community to give information about it? also I was wondering if there were any good sites online with a database of images of ancient coins from all countries where I can search for information by describing the coin?
Thanks.

Welcome! There are all sorts of reference sites we can recommend.

Wildwinds Has the "classic coinage" of ancient Greece and Rome.

Grifterrec is a good site for ancient Sassanian, and also covers Indian, Persian and Central Asian coins.

Zeno.ru is a huge database, specialising in Asian coinages - Chinese, Islamic, Indian States, that sort of thing.

For more modern coins, NumisMaster and WorldCoinGallery are two popular search sites.

CoinArchives has a modern coin section and an ancient coin section, but tends only to list the more expensive coins, and a lot of the site is in German.

And of course, if you're getting nowhere or you don't know where to start, post a picture here on the forum and our friendly members should be able to help you out. If it's a world coin, post it in the World Coins section, if it's an ancient, try the Ancient Greek and Roman section.

Usually Sap will have the coin identified and its history described before you can refresh your browser.
