This last weekend I ordered a 2007 Aussie Koala, in the Luna Series, a first of this type. Look on the Perth Mint site for this beautiful coin.

Have fun,

I have the koala, but I can find no reference to it being in a Luna Series.

can someone explain?

Richard...it is not part of the lunar series....it is a stand alone serie in its own right....this year being the first.

Is yours a Newcastle Koala?

Two silver Koala's now reside in Indiana and they will do so for years to come! Thanks Bigfella!

I can't help but wonder if the Australian government has any kind of programs for those of us who have become addicted? We help their economy so they should help with our addictions! Sounds good to me!

My wife and I each have one.

Very nice.

Problem is, too many Aussie coins for me to (afford) keep up with.

I have my Lunar series, which is pretty much up to date.

My Kookaburras, which need a few more.

The Kangaroos -- something I want but haven't started.

And, my Twenty Cent and Fifty Cent collections which I'm really working on presently.

So many coins, so little funds to buy them with.

Yes GARY the Mob of Roos and Kangaroos are DEFINITELY worth seeking and the Kangaroos, at this time (2007) in the first year of a mini-series of 3 years and are being designed by a famous Aussie artist! Sure hate to see you get behind!!!
Rest in Peace

Terry:

I know you have always been high on these coins.

Maybe I'll win the lottery, and be able to pursue them.

Wait a minute! In order to win you have to buy a ticket, right?

You win the lottery and I will head out to Colorado in the new vehicle you buy me to shop for coins which you are going to pay for and stay as long as you can afford to put me up (Please win big!) and we will bring Old Dan down and into the action (again your lottery winnings). Nothing like sharing with friends in need!
Rest in Peace

Believe it or not, should I ever win the big one, I would gladly provide for you and Old Dan to come to Colorful Colorado, and look forward to many hours discussing coins, buffalo herds, and lots of other things.
