I collect mostly US coins and this was a recent pick up mixed in with a larger US common lot of quarters I purchased.

In the little research I have done, it's not a medal variety, and I have read CCF member Bosox's article on surviving estimate.

I have been offered $80. for it and with the recent bath silver has taken, I was hoping it would make up for the loss on the rest of the purchase.

Looking for help from the Canadian CCF expert members for any info as to grade, variety and approx value.

Thank you, your help is always appreciated!
RK

I concur with VF-20. I owned a F-15 ICCS (old embossed holder) which had a bit more wear on it than your coin.

It is F15+--- not quite Vf20--- Book $145--I agree on polished.
Look at the 5 in 1858---It maybe re-punched?
Unusual strong strike on reverse-nice
The $80 is a fair offer because of the polishing.
BUT-- I am not an expert-- I only collect this one coin mostly --for about 5 months.

Nice die cracks-- with blobs? Unusual.Maybe the polish action-whizzing?
That 5 sure looks weird-with the high tail-- another blob?
But remember it is the obverse that counts--nice looking coin.
