I am not too good at grading but, I would say that they are both around EF40 to EF45 condition. The trends value for each one is $230 each.

P.S. check out this book for more info on grading Canadian Coins. It has a pictured coin grading section for all Canadian coins. I use it for grading the coins in my collection. http://www.woolardcoinsupplies.com/...d-guide.html

That is NOT impulse buying, just good buying, provided the price was OK.
The second coin is in slightly better condition, both have a nice patina, and neither have any real problems.

The reverse of the first coin appears to have very slight impact damage, and slight die damage as well. Two of those tiny dings are incuse, and two are in relief.

Both have old slight wear, which has been patinated over.
The first AU50, the second AU55.

The single example I have ain't nowhere near as good!

If I sell lefty for EF40 I basically got righty for free.
This coin wasn't really even on my radar but when I saw the deal I had jump on it (god bless the US economy!)

One the two will hit ebay once I have them in hand (wife wasn't pleased when I told her I spent $240 on TWO pennies)
or traded here to a member for trends=trends.
