Boy oh boy, these come in either brass or silver, satin or prooflike, with a couple of different reverses. Take a look:

1) President Series Concept (pattern) Dollars:

This is the one that I really like and appreciate the work that must have gone into its development. You got to see it to believe it.

2) Nikola Tesla Sesquicentennial Medals:

Mintages on these are around 250, with some items as low as 11 pieces.

I like the medals, but I think the Presidential dollar "patterns" are not worth the metal they're minted on. Just my opinion and to each his own!

I've been waiting for the Tesla coins. Didn't wait long after I got the link.

Isn't that Tesla Sesquicentennial Medal, a work of art. It has to rank right up there with the best of them.
I bet they run out of this one quick!

Well, there isn't a whole lot you can do artistically with frontal portraits of "old" men. I was commissioned to do these in satin brass, and to make them look as much like US Mint President dollars as I could (but I had to mint them BEFORE any images of the US Mint designs were ever released - so I had to guess). I went ahead and made some silver and some proof. Otherwise, these are not something I would have done on my own initiative.

Daniel....Only a one term president? The parody token is a hoot. I think the Washington, eagle head pattern is a real beauty, and prefer it to the issued coin. Great job sir.

That's precisely why I said I admire the other medals so much. I wasn't in any way impugning your skills. As I said, your other designs are impressive and I would love to see your spread-wing eagle across the reverse of circulating american coinage.

I received my Tesla medals today - I got a silver and a brass one - and they are truly all that and a bag of chips. Amazing. No time to image them today, but look for pics soon.
