I was out today hunting in my normal spots and I came across a 1901 V nickel and a 1928 merc.The merc looks like someone dropped it recently but nothing less its so cool to add to the collection .

I'm jealous, those are great finds.

I found a 1831 Half Dime last year along an old railroad track while answering natures call.

I found both of them between the sidewalk and the street, right at the base of a 100 year oak tree strange place but I will be going back for sure

Nice finds! The Merc has minimal environmental damage. It would make sense that someone probably was sitting under this Oak when these coins fell out of their pocket.
