I was just wondering if anyone has ordered from this website from France before and wondering what your experience was?

I am interested in some items from them but I am VERY skeptical because there is no contact email and they only have a phone number where you have to pay .34 Euro per minute to call. Not sure if this is standard in Europe.

So I was wondering if anyone has had a successful order with them before?

Thanks

Having to pay to speak to staff at a shop is certainly not standard practice, and quite possibly they speak only French.

Having an email address on a website is bad practice - usually easy for spam-robots to collect such addresses to send spam email.

I've never seen them before, however they have a contact form at http://www.tresordupatrimoine.fr/contact-form.php

Forget it, they only ship to France and Monaco :)

Regarding the phone number, it's not a regular practice ... they are more a bid bullion sellers than a collector coin seller - I suppose they are the ones publishing regular Euro catalogs and advertising in those. Hence, they only deal via mail orders to reduce costs.

At the very bottom of pretty much every page, including the one you mentioned before. ;) "Livraison en France métropolitaine et Monaco exclusivement." FWIW, Trésor du Patrimoine does have a "regular" customer service phone number: France (0)232..., click on "Conditions Générales de Vente". The more expensive one is for phone orders.

Christian,
Thanks, that doesn't appear on my screen, even by scrolling down but I see it in the page source.

It must be my browser settings.

It's odd that the order catalogue form lists lots of other countries.

It's at the bottom of each page, including the one you linked :
"Toute commande est sujette à notre acceptation et livrable dans la limite des stocks disponibles. Livraison en France métropolitaine et Monaco exclusivement."

(BTW, I'm french)

As for whether it is possible with them to order from (and have the coins delivered to) a third country ... well, not terribly long ago, in 2008/2009, I used to buy from them. I am in Germany, they mailed from FR to DE, everything went fine, aucun problème. :) It's just that shipping got too expensive. But I still get e-mail offers from them ...

The best may be to contact them in english using the contact form.
French are not the best for foreign languages, but at least most of us speak english or have a friend doing so :D
