I'm assuming that scratch in the first pic is on the case not the coin. I would call it a ms 64

Yes it is. You can see the dark line which is the shadow of the light line just above it.

Bit hard to grade through plastic sometimes, the marks in this case must be on the plastic.
Therefore, I am happy with graded MS65.

I mentioned at the bottom of the post that the case was beat up and to a certain extent you can tell. However, I am thinking about cross grading with CCCS here in Canada just to verify. I know from various discussions here that PCGS has been fairly liberal in their grading of Canadian coins recently, but have been told that the older green labels such as this one are more accurate.

The eye appeal is what pushed that coin from MS-64 to MS-65... collectors in Canada seem to forget that eye appeal actually counts with PCGS grading.
