most of the time I've noticed specially with dimes - they either dont know dont care or dont even think about silver - its just a dime with date under 1964

At the very least you could have said, "Wow, look at the age/date on this coin! Neat!" Saying it's silver may give him seconds thoughts about giving it to you.

He was only there for about 5 seconds and 4 seconds of that was me placing the order in the system and filling it. I had other orders to take and fill too. that played a part in it as I said before. it was a split second thing. I was the only worker there. That played a large part in it. if drive through wasn't waiting I probably would of said something as I handed him his coffee.

I wouldn't feel bad. Just keep it. It's not like he gave you something worth thousands of dollars.
