as in almost every case when it come to coin values (including your case) - condition/mintmark/ could make them worh anywhere from a few cents to a few dollars. certainly photo images would help determine more accurately.

NoClue, seeing how you joined this site today what the members posted. If you are serious about collecting the best answer is learning. Go through the information posted here at CCF. Buy the Red Book"A Guide Book of United States coins" by R.S. Yeoman which is a great source of information. Hope this is a start. Key point , "do not clean your coins!"

also alot of the 1943 pennies have been replated making them worthless in my opinion. but if they are original and look good and arent all rusted and defaced they could be worth a little. dont expect to get rich off of them though.

I'm not a coin person - I just sold over $2800. worth of items to a local coin shop ... my mother passed and going through her items I keep finding little pockets of coins/tokens ... There are only a few items left, but since these were pennies and silver like - I figured I'd post!

They're just steel. Easily bought for a quarter or less each unless in truly top condition.

Sure sorry you dumped those other coins at a coin shop without knowing what they were worth. People do this all the time and in many instances loose a small fortune. Coin stores and many dealers thrive on this. They buy coins for a fraction of their value and resell for a lot more than that. You kept the 1943 Cents and all look in fantastic condition. Yet those are rather common and sell for from $0.25 to a few dollars each. At that same coin store you would probably be offered $0.10 each if that.

Quote: I'm not a coin person - I just sold over $2800. worth of items to a local coin shop ... I agree with carl ........... you probably dumped the most valuable coins for 50% of their value at a coin shop, and kept common steel cents with little value
