Did anyone get an email from the Mint with an "exclusive offer" for a 1 oz fine silver Kangeroo coin from Australia for $99.95. Or a 1 oz coin gilded in 24K gold Koala coin for $119.95. This offer is not available from the Mint website.
It was from a person named Chris. I have to phone him to order. Is Chris my rep?

I got a similar email from someone else at the mint. Never heard of the guy before so just deleted it. Also, I don't particularly collect Australian NCLT although I do have a couple of the kangaroos from previous years.

@ Solidifier, true, but factor in the shipping costs of that one coin from Australia. Assuming you are a MC member, $100 (for the Kangaroo), no tax, no shipping, no border issues, ain't that bad.

@ Cowboy905, the photo has the SKU numbers. If you want one or more, assuming they are not sold out, call the mint and order.

I never got this offer from the mint and/or my rep. I'll pass on it.

I think, the deal isn't bad (taking in account free shipping vs shipping from the Perth )
The coin....also nice, but I have a feeling that it tries to compete with the "Sunset". I would order this one, if I hadn't the Kangaroo on the Sunset.
Didn't pay attention that it has F15 privy. Good choice.

I just want to point out that both "Kangaroo in Outback" and "Kangaroo at Sunset" F15 series are from Royal Aussie Mint, not from Perth.
I think the "Kangaroo in Outback" series just started in 2012, and the posture of the kangaroo is slightly different each year. The 2012 and 2013 coins depict a series of images, of a kangaroo leaping forward, with the windmill shifting slightly to the left.

Thanks for correction, shopaholic. Yes, you right, it is from RAM.
Didn't know, that "Kangaroo in Outback" it actually the series. Wasn't some coloured coin with similar design? Interesting to see the the coin from 2014 - the Kangaroo will leave the windmill behind.

Perth Mint released a kangaroo gold bullion coin in 2012 with a windmill as background, then they released a few coloured coins with the same design (coloured, but no engraving). I am also interested to see what will happen when the windmill is out of the picture, maybe they will move something else in.. like a cactus?

This is good series to collect. Clear and simple design, probably will hold it's value. I like the RAM's products... Too bad I have no budget for this. Added: Nowhere on ebay I see the 2013 year coin. But there is a few from 2012 for reasonable price.

That Outback Kangaroo pales greatly compared to the Sunset Kamgaroo.
