Hi everyone,

I was just thinking what is it people like and/or dislike about the 1/2oz O Canada subscription. When I read the mint's reviews the negative were mainly about the box delay or the confusion about the total mintage.

I was looking to subscribe through Canada Post and wanted to get some honest feedback for those people who subscribed and/or cancelled shortly afterwards.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Personally I like the 1/2oz. set I am working on 2 sets now for my collection and I just bought four more boxes with just the first two coins for $109 each to sell later.

Nice deal @elkslayer132. I also like it a lot. Where did you manage to find the box + 2 coins at 109$? Guess it's time you bought them

Doesn't care about "box delay" - actually there is no delay, since it promised to be with the seventh coin.

The collection is great in overall.

Yes, assuming that the Box + 2 coins are still available from the GovMint, this set I would recommend to the NCLT beginner or just to the collector with limited budget.
The set is good in it's Canada coverage:
wildlife, places, outdoor, art and symbol.

my biggest gripe about the 1/2oz set so far is the actual design on the coins. so far I'm not that impressed. I liked the Inukshuk one only so far. the rest seem to be done over and over (polar bear) The kids playing at the cottage is sort of unique but again, not my cup of tea.

i can't even think what I would like to see though, maybe the canadian shield landscape? maybe flowerpot island at Tobermory? I'm not sure, all I know is what they've selected so far, I'm not a huge fan of.

The design is not bad, the mintage is too high.
I subscribed to this series because with box this could be a good collectible gift for non-collectors
