So, I pulled this nickel from the pile tonight to take a closer look at because it was pretty shiny looking for a 1942 Tombac. The pictures don't do it justice, it's got lots of luster in hand and very little wear.

First question, at what point do multiple errors just make it a crappy coin? Or do lots of issues actually multiply the 'neato' factor?

Also, is this a die that was about to die? If so, I'm thinking it must have fallen apart after striking this coin.

(lots of pics)

Very nice coin. Everyday the R C Mint is looking for Canadian theme's to sell.
You have history in hand;

Spring of 1940. The Department of Munitions and Supply, and the Wartime Industries Control Board are established.
1941, Wage and price controls in place. Commodities rationed, War declared on Finland, Hungary, Japan and Romania.

What would the value on a weak strike like the one shown above be with the gaps?
