Today is my birthday.
I had some time to sort through 26 rolls of pennies I had here.
The best surprise, 2006 no p no logo magnetic!
1977 uncentered brockage! Correction, uncentered broadstrike.
12 rolls of copper
I will get some photos of the off center up.

Is this what they call uncentered brockage?

And, I finally found time to write the date and mint mark on all my Lincoln cents.

Definitely uncentred. :-) I though a brockage was when a coin stuck to the die and got stamped down on top of the next coin though?

Thanks N.
The coinsandcanada site has uncentered brockage shown under errors.
That's what I was going by. I could be wrong in naming this.

Edit. Oops, uncentered broadstrike.

The 1977 is called an "off-centre strike"

Good find!

No. For the dies to be mis-aligned, one side of the coin will show no sign of being struck off-centre or the degree to which the coin is struck off-centre is different for both sides.

This is an example of a mis-aligned die, a coin I purchased last year from a CCF member on ebay. Note on one side, the coin appears to be a broadstrike, the other side, an off-centre. Probably the most extreme example of a mis-aligned die that I have.

I will label it off center strike. I am keeping it in the back of my penny binder.
