Can anyone in the US tell me if they had to pay customs on any of the coins they get from Royal Canadian Mint, and how much?

There's shouldn't be any if you buy 99.99% silver or gold.

No duty or tax on was charged on anything I have purchased from the Royal Canadian Mint, Post Office or other Canadian vendors.

Didn't make a difference whether it was pure silver, gold, plated steel, individual coin or set.
