I have three coins (two different denominations) that I pulled out of a mixed lot. I was looking them up in my Krause and quickly found something that puzzled me. If I am reading the coins correctly, they are from 1964. In the catalog under 1964, Krause says, "Only 10 trial pieces struck" for the 1 Lira. For the 25 Agorot, Kruase says "5 trial pieces only". I highly doubt that I have some crazy rare pieces but I am confused on what I do have. They are the correct weights. Also on a side note, I also found a 50 Zlotych from Poland 1990. When I tried to put it into my online album, it was saying that the alingment should be ^^ but the one I have is about a 30% off tilt. Has anyone ever heard/seen an error like this? Ideas on what it would be worth?

Pictures to follow. Having trouble getting them to load.

You are going to need pictures for the Israel coins. I find them a pain to read the correct date, so maybe you misread the date? Or maybe you did find some rare pieces, if there are not any easily recognizable western script on the coins a lot of dealers put them in the unknown bin/bag and let some adventuring person try to attribute them.

As far as the rotation being off, I've found a lot of world coins with rotations off by a slight amount. From what I have read unless someone want them it can be hard to do much with them. Now, I don't know much about Poland coins, so they may be more collectible and some one may want it.

allranger, I really appreciate the input. I, in deed, did read the date incorrectly. Really got my heart pumping though! I did not have a 1964 coin but instead a 1974 coin. The 6 looks similar to and up side down "L" and the 7 is more similar to a "T" with an elongated left side. Similar characters. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me out. I appreciate it!

Your Polish coin has a "rotated die". Die rotations of less than 15 degrees are not considered significant errors; if yours is at 30 degrees, it would be. But I don't know how good the quality control was at the Polish Mint in the 1990s, to comment on how rare it might be.

I collect Israeli coins. Given pics of the coins I should be able to tell you the date, mintage and estimated value.
