I'm quite happy with this coin. Blinding luster in hand!

Spectacular. That must have cost a pretty penny.

Fantastic Shilling, especially with the RRITT flaw.
Spink 3790 - - UNC £350 - - EF £160.
But this certainly looks UNC to me,
Its the sort of one I would consider getting slabbed to protect it.

Just noticed on the Reverse inside of the "Y" at 3 o'clock,
is that also a Die Crack?
Great Photos

Thanks for all of the kind words guys. She's already slabbed for protection I also posted some larger pics below. I believe that it is a die crack inside the "Y" by the crest. This coin is VERY attractive in hand.

Anyone care to guess what I gave for her in $USD? I think I got a great deal on it also!

Great coin, seriously .

I have never purchased such expensive shilling, but I guess (if you have purchased her over the last couple of year) you have payed around 666.66$ for it.

Eye candy.

A nice, sharp strike.
In the larger pictures, you can appreciate how the master dies were cut.
The best George 111, any denomination, I have seen.
I hope this piece normally lives in a screw capsule.

How did you acquire it?

Interesting die failure on the 'B' in front of his forehead.
Perhaps Grease Fill, AND die crack together, in the same place!

Ok, I'll divulge. I actually found this coin on ebay! YES, that's right, ebay! I was the only bidder...and got it for what I considered a very good price (the auction start price was $225 USD, or about £145). And, I purchased it 10 days ago, not 10 years ago at that price.

There are still occasional diamonds in the rough on ebay.
