Looks to have some enviromental damage. In that, what ever it was stored in or where ever it was found, had a chemical reaction to the surface of the coin causing the dark and unapealing toning.

Can't give a net grade because of the toning. You can't see much of the detals. However, I will go out on a limb and say VF30.

VF for detail, but definitely environmentally compromised. I have talked to some older guys in my town who remember one of the old factories here, and the chemicals they worked with would turn the silver coins in the workers' pockets black. I'm not sure what the chemical was, but they made synthetic materials like rayon. I'm sure there are a lot of different chemicals that would tarnish silver like that. ~Jim

This Half came with some Walkers at melt, thanks for the replies.. At least it made a good image.
