1954 Error Florin. Help Please.

Thanks the Unicorn, bit disappointing but ya get that. Reverse isn't anywhere near as pristine as I thought either.
But hey! it has taught me a valuable lesson.

Hi jpl I put a chair in the back yard, facing North, the yard slopes down to the South. The sun was a fair way to the North so this meant the sun was on the coin but at a shallow angle if that makes sense, so I was aiming down but facing the sun.
I think this is probably why the photos look overexposed.
Within a few more minutes it was too bright to get any more pics. (this was about 10.00)
I think the same procedure earlier would have achieved some sparkle in the coin, will try tomorrow.

G Day Enworb, We are looking at 2 different base code, Points of View here. #1 for a person to use an unnatural (white Lighting) ie, "as I call Hollywood Brights, to show a coin or another object that looks flawless in that light peception ( Glamorous Magazine Style). Yes the lighting & rigging department of Hollyweird do sell off there products very well indeed. That's there trick. #2 With Natural light you can not fake away the look of a coin or object with (SunLight),as Darge got to Experience today when he took a Photo and seen the True Flaw's & Details you can only get with (Natural White Light), yes from the sun & all shiny things out there. What you see is what you get from this source of light! Other Man made light ( just smoke & mirrors) Hollywood! That's my Perception, Selling Magazines ( An Illusion ) or seeing things in the light that you have been seeing since Birth. Can't hide in the Light. Cheers jpl..

Enworb,Did I mention takeing photos in the Bright Sun? yes I did, I said Don't. Is there a part there you just don't get? If I was to bye a coin I would take it into the Natural light (Not an exploding Star as you might think), and see it how it really looks. And if I was going to sell a coin to you, I would let you look at it under a half worn fluro! so you don't get to see the proper detail! Please take of the beer goggles. Have you ever been in a store and there was something you liked, But as you got out of the store It did not look the same, Well that's Reality for ya! Or are you a Supercilious Pearson. ( Look it up). Ps There is nothing wrong about indoor Photography never said that! maybe you could use your skill of coins for your self & keep out of my skill of Photography ya think . jpl..

Thanks there Darge, a peace keeper is allways good to have around. I have studied Photography all the way back since Tech. Getting light headed in the (Red Room) exposeing film in the three wash & rinse pans. Pictures were good back then, when the silver nitrate film stock turned into a Visual memory, with out haveing to deal with Pixels. Meaning Digital detail. DSLR'S yes by all means can make an easy picture to turn out,in all photo catergorys. If you have any more questions on how to get a nice shot off, even under man made light, I am more than happy to help out. Make a nice Glammer shot to put on the wall useing indoor directional lamps.
