I hope this question is as clear as possible. I have just got hooked on the highly addictive game of coin roll hunting. Usually I pick up just a few rolls at a time. However I hear of you fellows getting entire boxes of rolls to hunt, but always it seems from American collectors. I guess what I'd like to know is, do Canadian banks give out rolls of change in similarly large quantities? I'd like to hear your experiences. I'm a little shy and am afraid of asking, as I've had bad experiences asking for penny rolls this past year.

Excellent. Thanks for the reply. I'll probably stick to just getting 5-10 rolls at a time and going to various locations. I'm not really a high roller, so to speak. ;)

Nickel rolls have 40 nickels each - $2. Nickel boxes have 50 rolls - $100. A nickel box weighs about 20 pounds, so I once used one to win a "who has the heaviest backpack" pissing contest.

You may actually want to consider saving all pre-1982 nickels, as they're made of 99.99% nickel and are worth about 7 cents each. If you're lucky, you'll find a local buyer.
