I'm just getting back into collecting, and I'm looking to work on some other sets. Before I toss these morgans for whatever their silver content is, do I have anything of value here or that might be worth grading? I got these about 17 years ago when I was a kid, and I have no clue if anything has been cleaned or not.

I also have a peace at the end that has a large chip in the coin. I'm not sure if this was done by the mint or during circulation. Any thoughts here?

I apologize for the poor quality photos. I had to use an iphone until new camera battery charger gets here Wednesday.

Those look nicer than most of them that I have in my collection. I don't think they are worth having them graded since they are some of the common dates, but I definitely would not toss them for their silver content. You could easily get more than that selling them on ebay. If either of us had our post count high enough, I'd make you a decent offer right now.

They all look uncirculated so they do have some numismatic value beyond the silver spot price. The Peace dollar has a small planchet flaw, not PMD.

Does the planchet flaw add value or take away?

I saw another thread talking about ebay being the best place to sell morgans right now instead of selling for silver. I'll probably just hold off until I have enough posts then throw them on the buying/selling section here.

Thanks for the help!

For an average uncirculated common date Peace dollar, there would most likely be no impact on the value either way. A large planchet flaw on a common coin would add a little value as an error type example but a planchet flaw on a semi-key or key date coin would decrease the value. No one wants an issue like that on an expensive coin when you are trying to get the best possible example for your collection.
