According to the rep, this surprise coin will be detailed in a email at 0800 tomorrow 5/15.
Today's email was sent out in error.
Apparently it is available to MCs only.
It is no t the $100 for $100.

Well, a mintage of 50'000 is quiet a lot - but 100$ for 100$ is compelling :)

Only 31.6 grams.... that is a heck of markup on just over an ounce of silver. Certainly more profitable for the mint, than say the general production of silver maple leaf (with a face value of $5). I wonder what is with the trend of the intrinsic value not exceeding the face value, much like circulating coinage... It would be really cool to see these items actually hit circulation... (I circulated more than a dozen $20 for $20 coins - my Starbucks accepted them...)

I am on the fence on this coin just based on the following factors. 1. High mintage 2. Price 3. Silver content 4. Will banks take this
I makes me wonder though is the currency market going in a different direction. Will people begin carrying purses with big silver coins! Food for thought

These questions will always be ask when it comes to numis coin. Do you guys ask the same questions when you purchase canopy, Tiger Swallowtail butterfly, and the latest bald eagle? They are all 1oz at $99.95 with face value of $20. I can understand if people don't buy it because they don't like the design or don't like the mintage. I think we all should know by now that the price of the numis coins will never be equivalence to the silver content in the coin.

Quote: @ SPP-Ottawa: your starbucks takes 20 for 20? What do you get for that? A venti half-caf and a small biscotti? One Reindeer, no change.

Nothing special about this item. I'm saving my money to fill the holes in other series I am collecting. Who has a 1951 5 cent high relief that they want to sell for $100 or a 1965 large beads
