"Its all Greek to me"! Obverse looks Roman Republic in style. Reverse looks archaic Greek in style. I believe it is Neptune hurling a trident. My guess (only a guess) would be Magna Grecia ie pre-Roman Italian city on the Adriatic side. Very nice AE by the way ! I like it.

I am guessing bronze based on the 'crack'. But it might be silver ?

This is a bronze coin from Athens (Attica) circa 87 BC and similar to Sear #2567. Nice coin.

I am surprised it is that 'late'. I remember now seeing the famous statue on which this reverse is I believe a representation of ..... In the Athens museum ! A very long long time ago. There were Colonels in sunglasses running the show back then. An 'interesting' time.
