I talked with the woman I have been talking with for over a year or so, about the new $100 bill. I told her, "So, we finally know when the new $100 bills come out, and she said "Yep, I'm sorry I couldn't give you any information until it was made public" and I told her I understood.

Then I asked her about the Meaningful Access redesign and if she knew what denomination was coming out first and she said she did not know as of yet, but she did tell me that she had a real treat for me. She said that the BEP has showed some businesses with bill readers a sample of what kinds of features the BEP will be using in the next currency redesign and she also told me that, later this summer, the BEP is having a meeting about the Meaningful Access redesign, and she should know even more about it to tell me by then. And I asked her if I could call her in June or July, and she said "Of course. Call any time. I enjoy talking with you on all of these issues"

Then I asked her how things were going on the "$1 bill Vs. dollar coin" issued was going, and she said that she did not have any idea with that, other than, there was a big push for it last year, and I told her about how that COINS Act was going to be reintroduced again soon, and she just said "Well, we'll be printing $1 bills as long as they order us to" then I told her about how I wish that they could redesign the $1 bill is we were keeping it, but, how there were too many dollar bill vaidators out there to redo, and that it would likely take an act of Congress to change the $1 bill and that was about it. Oh, and I asked if they were planning on using Braille on any of the new Meaningful Access redesign currency, and she told me she doubts it, because not many people read Braille, and I thought that was weird, because I thought most blind people learned Braille.

That is all I have to report. I wonder if the first Meaningful Access redesign bill will be unveil this year, to be released next year.

I hope so! I am soooooo excited about this upcoming redesign! I just hope they don't completely butcher the æsthetics of the bills. I hate it when money looks weird and plasticky.

1967Canadapenny,

I hope that, with the ending of the Series 2009 $2 bill supply in 2014, that the redesigned $2 bill (hopefyilly along with the new $5 bill) will be the first denomination(s). Especially, because the $2 bill hasn't had a major change in many years. (And all I have to say to the BEP is, "Please bring back the Monticello reverse")

I actually like the monticello $2 bill reverse but if they brought back the monticello design or created a new design all together there might be some problems with people not recognizing the old (1976-present) $2 bills, and thus not accepting them.
