I've been looking through some BU 2009 cents and found what I think is a doubled thumb. I have spent the last hour or 2 looking on Wexlers trying to match it with something, but am having trouble since I'm new to this, and have a kind of crappy microscope. So hopefully someone can help. The 2 closest matches I saw were WDDR-003 and WDDR-006, but I really can't figure it out. It also looks like it could just be PMD, but obviously, I'm hoping it's not. So if anyone can help in anyway, please do. Thanks in advance!

My guess is this one:
2009P-1DR-002 | CLASS 9 (MDS) CONECA: DDR-009 | Crawford:CDDR-009 Wexler: WDDR-006 | FS#:UNKNOWN coin photographed is credited to Bob Piazza. Formative Years design (LP2): A strong spread shows as a rather large 'extra finger' on the book. A smaller portion of an extra digit can be seen immediately above the first finger. This die is coupled with 2009P-1DO-002.

Sudz, I checked like you suggested on CC and I think we're right on our guesses. DDR-006 on Wexler. 1DR-002 on CC. But I'm confused by the value. They're completely different on CC and Wexlers, so any idea on which one I should go with for value?

Unfortunately, there I am out of my league. Sorry. Hopefully someone else can help you with that, in fact I am curious as to the answer as well.

Did they come from the mint rolls sets for the LP2? There were a lot of DDR's found in these. Most of the time many duplicates.

I had purchased BU rolls off ebay. 1 for each design and mint. I'm probably going to go back through all 48 coins that I didn't see DDRs on in this roll, just to be safe. I don't want to miss any.

Take a look at coppercoins.com before you re-search them. You maybe surprised at what you missed the first time around.

WoW! What you have there is,my opinion, one of the BEST,if not thee BEST,of all the 100 or so! This one is called the "skeleton finger". Check the Wexler price and you tell me how nice of a find you have there.I think it's #6 in the Wexler scale?Pretty cool find. -joey

I found this one thanks to Wexler, but I don't believe their pricing is correct. At most, I'd probably get 20 for this, IMO. And thanks! This was my first DD find so far.

I don't know what your talking about? On the Wexler site, the price for your #6 is listed at 75$ for a 65 grade? Are you saying the price is to low or too high? I think it's priced pretty close to what it's worth.

I feel it's too high, unless it's meant for slabbed coins, instead of just the MS65 look. I never see these sale for anymore than 20 dollars in this condition unless they're slabbed.
