I know I see MD on the date and mm, but for some reason I think I also see DD, especially on the "70".

Have there been occasions where both MD & DD existed on the same coin?

The first question would be, "Is a DD of that configuration known?" If so, it is absolutely reasonable to assume coins with both MD and DD could exist, since the two are entirely differing processes.

There are a few 70-S dds with doubling on the 70, check here http://www.coppercoins.com/diesearch.php

As Superdave mentioned, MD can happen pretty much on any coin and has nothing to do with the die itself.

Thanks for your replies guys. That's good to know.
I really wasn't in doubt that it was possible, it's just that... as a beginner, even if I could be 99% certain about something, unless I get confirmation from experts in the field at least once, my 99% doesn't mean that much to me.
