Hi there,
I want to know if there's any place where the shipping charges are low for buying silver bullions... For the one I look, it's 20-30$ for shipping, if you know a place with lower price, tell me! :) Thanks!

I think Colonial Acres is more for bullion. Westgate is the same as well.

Cpmx changes around $16 for shipping. Prices aren't bad either.

Depends on the amount of bullion and type you are buying, if your buying gold bullion or alot of silver etc then the extra on shipping is not going to matter because you will want tracking , insurance , signature required. At SilverGoldBull, They offer FedEx Ground and Canada Post Xpresspost shipping within Canada,Insurance, tracking and signature included. I had ordered some 1oz gold coins and they cost $12 shipping I believe and I could track it online plus they couldn't just leave the package on my door step (which does happen) since I had to be there too sign for it. I ordered 4 tubes of silver maple leafs and the shipping was $25 appox , they also video tape when filling the order/packing the items so if something is missing they can review the video and to see if it was or wasn't packaged etc. C/A is a good place to buy just a few bullion coins I think they sell some silver maple leafs in batches of 10 etc and shipping is $6.50 . Those are the only 2 places that I have ordered bullion from at this point so cant comment on other places. Also you should go here in the P/M section of CC as there is allot of good info on everything bullion related. http://www.coincommunity.com/forum/...FORUM_ID=143

If you pass by Montreal occasionally, you can purchase your bullion coins at Kitco

chris86 or anyone who might know, do you know who Silvertowne ships with for the free shipping? Is it with the USPS or a courier?

If you are ordering large amounts I'd suggest Silvergoldbull (free shipping over 5k), or Toronto Gold Bullion (free shipping over 3.6k) .

Holy Moly RCN , thats a ripoff if I ever did see one,I try to only order items from Canadian dealers , some of the fine print from places like APMEX will scare you: 8. What are the shipping costs for Canada? Our shipping charges to Canada are $34.95 USD plus an additional $0.15 USD per troy ounce weight surcharge. Currently, all of our shipments to Canada are shipped FedEx International Economy and must be shipped to a physical address. Additionally, customers living outside of FedEx' normal delivery zones may incur an Extended Area Surcharge.

Is there any charge for this service? Subject to the availability of inventory, you can request to pick up your order at our office in Canada or one of our locations in the Eastern United States. This pick-up facility is available only for orders placed over the phone. A fee of $70 may be charged for each pick-up. For further information about picking up or paying for an order in person or to make a pick-up appointment, call 1 877 775-4826 or 514 313-9999

While I have never ordered anything from the Kitco website, I have gone in person numerous times and just asked for the coins I wanted. No minimums and no $ 70 fee. You can pay in cash or debit (interac).

The only office I know is located near Labaie downtown. No additional fee if you pay in cash or debit in person (extra 3.5% for all credit cards). For the first time you need to bring some IDs with you, they will open an account in your name and ask you to set the secret question.
Once everything is done, you only need your account # and money to purchase bullion in person, no minimum.
The only thing I don't like is their coins are usually full of fingerprints, unless you ask for "just-in" unopened rolls.

RCN, that's what I was afraid of. I was tempted to place an order with them because of the free shipping but when I couldn't see their shipping options I held back. I don't want to deal with cross-border shipping with Couriers even if the seller declares and labels everything correctly.
Was your order supposed to be tax exempt? If so, I hope you can get the CBSA to refund you the taxes.

I was charged $70 brokerage fees (+HST on the $70) and HST of $92 on the coins (bald eagles). I sent in a request for refund of HST to CBSA. Will see what happens. First time I ordered in the US, never again.
