I have recently sorted through 85,000 wheat Cents. I started noticing that if a cent had a dark, almost Bronze color it was , almost always a 1949-P. Every once in a while it might be something else, but 98 percent of the time it was a 1949-p.

Has anyone else noticed this? Or is this old hat? I could post a pic.

I have sorted through a lot of Cents from Wheaties on and can't say that I have ever heard of or noticed that one. But I will say that I haven't done no where the amount of wheat cents that you have done and probably not that much maybe 4,000 at tops.
