Augustus AE 19mm of the Koinon of Thessaly, probably Larissa mint, Sosandros Sosandrou, magistrate. QESSALWN SEBASTOS, bare head of Augustus right / SWSANDROS SWSANDROU, Athena standing left, holding Nike and resting hand on shield; spear resting against her arm; AR monogram and delta in fields. RPC 1425; McClean 4994; Leake 4898.
I dont hold much hope for that..but the bust does look roman. I reckon you just dont want to ID it yourself! (Greek coins are a hassle to figure out though - thats why I dont go for them so much)

That's interesting, the coin looks more like a Roman official issue rather than a Greek coin. My first impression was AP and the more I look at it I still think it is. I like to hear who you have it attributed to.

My guess... Seleucid Kingdom , Antiochus IV Epiphanes? Beirut Mint AE18 6.0g(ish) Beirut with trident standing.

I have it as Commodus, Amphiopolis, rev: Artemis Standing. Moushmov 6101. Here's another one, a little easier but still challenging   Deal still stands. Good luck! |

IMO what I can make out of the profile it doesn't look like Commodus, but I am often wrong.
