1989-P DDR-003?

Does anybody else think this might be a 1989-p DDR-003? The designer's initials in this coin, shown in the 2nd picture, are noticeably thicker than a normal 1989-p reverse shown in the 3rd picture. The letters of "AMERICA" are also thicker in the 2nd pic vs. the 3rd pic. Plus there seems to be a small amount of notching in the tail of letter "R" (though it looks better in-hand) in the 2nd pic. Interestingly, there also seems to be a raised line that runs behind the letters "MER" (maybe a die gouge?). I would appreciate any opinions, thanks.

Doesn't look like a DDR to me and the mark behind MER looks like a die gouge.

The devices on your coin does look thicker and class 6 DD are hard to confirm. Lets wait for coop.

Check the "R". Coppercoins shows a slight split on the right leg.

I know what you mean, John1, about class 6 DD's being tough to confirm. I really didn't know much about their existence until I got Coop's DVD. It is what alerted me to this coin. BTW, there appears to be a notch or indent on the tail of the "R".

The coin on the left is showing signs of Die Deterioration which may be causing distortion in the letters. I can't see anything on the "R" that suggests doubling.Add to this that large die gouge, who could miss a marker like that? I don't think it's a doubled die.
