I was a doubter until you provided better photos. Congrats are in order I guess. Though it still perplexes me why you would have a coin slabbed that the slab is worth more than the coin?
Thank you for the congrats! As I've said many times, I'm not into it for the money. When you deal in coins, sometimes your thinking is adjusted because you make your living buying and selling. The hobby should be fun!
I assure you, I am no professional dealer. The funds I make from my sales go towards purchasing what I collect. This is why I am priced lower than most. For my own collection, I feel that slabbing a variety like this one is overkill, but what makes this hobby so great? There is no wrong way to do it. Now you only have about 167 more 1960-D RPMs to go for a set. You had better get to searching.
I am working on the CONECA Top 100 RPMs. I love RPMs the most. I hope to finish it one day, but have decided to take it slow, and keep within a decent budget.
I can definitely understand getting the coins slabbed. I have had a couple slabbed simply because they are precious to me for strictly sentimental reasons. Sure, it costs, but so does framing a photo or preserving a document.
