I don't know if anynumismatist's already made a topic like this, but I was going through a strap of $2 bills, and I thought it'd be nice if we could post our finds in straps of currency. We already have a thread for old bills, but not a thread for people to post interesting error, serial number, odd bills or other finds. So in other words this thread would be for people who find interesting banknotes from straps or change, atm etc. I can't wait to see what y'all find

Great idea for a thread!
I rarely look at any cash I get, but now I'll start checking everything I get.

Best thing I ever found was a Series '81 $100 * note. Sold it for $300. It was pretty rough too, probably a VF grade note.

EDIT: Here's the images from the guy that bought it, he called it VF25.

Great idea for starting this thread. I just found 11 $100 star notes with sequential serial number. They are in BU condition.

Got me a nice $20 bill from the 1991 series (Canadian). I withdrew $300 from the machine and got bills from three separate series.

I just picked up a $2 and $5 bill to do with the above mentioned series (Canadian Birds?). Gonna try to get one of each for this series as that was what was circulating when I was a teen. I find the series after that to be hideous.

I've been waiting to find some birds in circulation, but no luck so far. All I want is a kingfisher!! >:U

It's interesting to see the even mix of plastic and paper $20s in circulation right now, though. Soon we'll all be reminiscing about the paper bills (I barely remember the change-over to the "new" $20 design - this dates me pretty badly).

Also, the best bill story I ever heard was the following: The storyteller was working at a camera shop in the 80s. An old lady buys a bunch of film (it was a different time, man). She pays for it with a crisp $50... featuring King George VI! The next day, she came back for more: with another flawless $100 from the same series!! Apparently she refused to sell it for anything above face value.
