I got a box of nickels from the bank today.
I went through my first ten rolls and there was accurately no copper nickels and no pure nickels. There was, therefore, no 2000 nickels found.
I knew that bank machines take out silver, and now I know that they do the same with old nickels.

they have been doing that for over 5 years now. Any bank wrapped rolls will contain no .999 or .75 nickels. Canada\s alloy recovery program.

really depends on which area of the country you are in. Some companies aren't fully participating in the ARP. G4S in Atlantic for example. Boxes fresh off their trucks are still loaded with all years and many foriegn coins. I even pulled two silver quarters out of one G4S wrapped box last month!!
