Hi,
I am new to coins and I want to know if I found something valuable.
By google search I found that it is a 1956 " Wheat penny", but sis not found description of this type of imperfectness. This penny has some extra metal as you can see on the photo (red arrows).

Thank you!

Pavel,

to CCF.

Insofar as these aberrations on your '56 LHC I cannot state that what is happening on the left wheat stalk is symmetrically occurring equally on the right one.

The right stalk appears to be PMD or the beginnings of some delamination. A higher magnification close-up shot of the left stalk would assist in differentiating between the two areas.

The following is a chart explaining relative valuations based upon the type of abnormality present:

By the way as a new member it should be pointed out that placing any URL within your CCF post is risky since it could become a dead link in the future if the web page it refers to is eliminated on the target server etc.

If you cannot read my error pricing .jpg attachment, you may then be interested in placing the following URL in your coin favorites because of the above reasons:

You have die cracks with chipping internally among the kernals of the wheat ears.
