Hello.

Can anybodu help me with this coin. I don't know it's weight, as I only got the photos. This doesn't look like a typical fake to me, byt sume details are obviously different from the original ones (for example the shape of rays next to the triangular eye at the upper part of coin). Is this some other die type or just a fake coin?

Here's a photo of a genuine Borodino Commemorative for you to compare with. Look at the dentilation, the cross on the monument and the obverse legend (top left quadrant) in specific.

I dont know much about this issue, but there are also noticable differences between the shape of the ear & chin

I can't answer - there are known varities for the 1.5 ruble type but I'm not too sure of the ruble.

I guess it comes down to what the seller is asking and whether you have that amount of money spare.

Ok, looks like the coin is genuine, I just found an example that is NGC graded and sold by HA which has exactly the same details on the head side. http://coins.ha.com/c/item.zx?saleN...#69156915487

The weight and diameter also appear to match.
