A number of these Franklin Mint Christmas Card Rounds came with a group of coins I recently purchased. There are sets from 1968 & 1969 along with several from the 70's. I know these rounds have no real value but they are very beautiful. I have not been able to find any information about these. I would like to know what type of metal they are?

I wish I could help but when you talk about the franklin mint it could be anything from pure silver to american cheese with a layer of silver foil over it

I've seen these for sale as 1 oz silver in the past. I'll see if I can find anything for you. What's the weight?

Ok I saw these on ebay

I'd say they were more then likely Sterling Silver

Thanks for the info. The round is sealed in the card and I don't want to open it to get the weight. Total weight of card + round is 50.4 grams, so I'm guessing the round is @34 grams.
