Poll Question
Part 1 of 2

Here's the link to the semi-finalists in the US Mint's Baseball Coin Design Competition: http://batterup.challenge.gov/submissions

Which would you like to see be selected for the upcoming National Baseball Hall of Fame commemorative coins?

Note 1: I had to divide the 24 semi-finalists between two poll posts (the limit for one poll is 15 choices). The choices are listed alphabetically. Please select only ONE design from EITHER Part 1 OR Part 2.

Note 2: Some of the design names are very similar - please vote carefully.

Next Friday night, I'll close the poll and list the top three vote getters between the two posts.

Essence of a nation's pastime seems nice. My #2 would be The Big Three

I like the Proud American Classic and Anticipation of the season HOWEVER I can 100% guarantee that they design will be The Big Three as it looks like every other modern commemorative coin in terms of font, positioning of mottos, proportioning of main design, etc.

I think "Dads baseball glove" is the best by far.

I like "Essence of a Nation's Pastime" best but the logo on the hat should be taken out. Its over kill. Simple and straight to the point design, very nice.

"Coming home" and "Spirit of Baseball" are tied for 2nd, with the latter having the best artwork of the entire group but neither encapsulates the spirit of baseball or the HOF to me, they are just a glimmer of a moment in a game.

Really surprised there aren't any cross generational- something linking previous generations with the new, that's what the Baseball HOF is really about or something more Norman Rockwellish here. Cant wait to see what the kids designs are!

I wish the mint allowed the public to play a more active role in mintage designs. Regardless, they will find a design that can appeal to the masses.

Thanks for setting up this post, really excited about next year's commemoratives.

I would have to go with either A Hand Full of Gold or Dad's Baseball Glove.

Not just for the artwork but what is more fitting on a concave side of the coin?

Thanks for the update.

The final choice is ok. Can't wait to see how it all comes together as a final project.

I'm excited about this one.

I kind of preferred "Dads Baseball Glove", but I am very happy and excited for this coin. I think they made a great choice.
