Okay, I'm not sure, you'll see a post later on how I ame to have much more old UK stuff, this is part of the lot.
Its in detestable condition from being buried, but I believe its a rare 1871. Its got a bit of BD and hasnt been cleaned. I've stuck in in distilled water, hopefully that will loosen the dirt and give me a better look at the date. I didnt even think it was victoria but the reverse has ICTORI surviving. The date seemed to be 18711 (really, 18711).
We'll see. Any ideas on conservation?
UPDATE: Its cleaning up really well. The mud/dirt was hiding a good grade victoria half penny. It seems to be a 1874 which has a hit to the date, but theres still a line next to it. Bit weird.
