The edge seems to be protruding out and not etched on this,

Other items on sale doesn't seem to have envy edge inscription on them , however I don't have any source to compare.

What do you all think ?

I'm not sure, but I've been looking at that guys coins this week. He is selling a lot of German Thalers that you don't see very often. If it was a fake, I would definitely say the seller is unaware of it.

While the edge letters weren't stamped in, they don't seem to be protruding out. There are bands on the edge of the rim that are the same height as the letters. It's conceivable that the negative space could have been what was stamped.

For what it's worth, the surfaces on the obverse/reverse look right for coins of this age/condition.

I am definitely an amateur on the subject of forgeries though.

I dont think he is selling fakes intentionally (if they are fakes that is). Otherwise he wont mention that there have been questions about the authenticity.

I found the 1864 Bremen thaler to be blank edge , however there is a BR inscripted on the obverse that is missing.

There are all look genuine except for those couple of things but I guess I would pass them. I have been looking for a Bavarian constitution thaler for quite some time, $250+ in MA shop, oh well.

I agree. Something seems off with most of these auctions. I haven't and won't bid on any.

Absolutely everything is marked as XF. It's just weird.
