ram12375 New Member United States 12 Posts	Posted 06/10/2013 12:11 am Taken from A Guide Book of Peace dollars by Roger Burdette, page 217 & 218. "All 1926 Peace dollars were produced from a master die that had the word GOD manually retouched." On the next page under varieties it lists a "strong motto". I have reread it several times and am confused. If they all have a reworked GOD then how is this a variety? What am I missing? Different values are given for regular coins and the strong motto, but every picture I can find of a 1926 has the strong motto. A couple other sources I found on the web state that all 1926 dollars have the strong GOD. I think my head is going to explode. Report this Post to the Staff

SsuperDdave Moderator United States 23522 Posts	Posted 06/11/2013 12:26 pm I don't think it was Roger's intent to designate a specific variety with that paragraph - he's well aware that VAMs are the official Peace dollar variety designation - but just to describe that specific unique feature of the 1926's.
