This is the ultimate disgrace to coin roll hunting, estate lot selling, coins, collecting, mankind, woman kind, cells, life, earth, matter, space...... http://www.ebay.com/itm/UNSEARCHED-...140994523801I mean, I WONDER if a teller rolled it that way? Or maybe some old man like to roll wheat pennies with his ancients? No chance that the seller put it there. Not even sure why I brought up the possibility. I know some people don't like these types of posts, but this one was the ultimate laugh, then subsequent weeping for humanity sake. So I though I'd post it.

How do you know it's a wheat roll if you can only see greeks and indian heads?

Those end coins are done that way to get the attention of folks who don't know anything about coins and want to start a collection they buy these not knowing its a scam.

I know it's popular to knock these types of things, but I got one once fully knowing that it was searched. I got it because I wanted the coin on the end and some wheats and I got a great range of wheats and IHCs. I'm sure these things vindicate Barnum's "fool every minute" line, but give people some credit too, maybe they're just intrigued and this will be something that creates an interest in either American or ancient coins.

Well, if that's his mission he should label it "grab bag of coins w/ ___ on ends!!" Instead of blatantly lying. He sells MANY lots like this. How could he buy so many "unsearched" rolls with ancients on the ends?

one feedback from the same type of roll says "4 IH, 1 10's, 5 20's, 3 30's, 2 ancients". Not bad for the selling price of $7.50 IMHO.

Looks like an LRB to me. When I have excess money I might buy a roll out of curiosity but that is wayyyy down the line. From what I have read the coins have been harshly cleaned.

True, but still he is being dishonest about how he got the coins. He probably buys them wholesale then sells them in these lots.
If it was labeled as "roll of random coins" that would be fine. The "unsearched by me" is the part that is annoying to me.

He seeds rolls on occasions to draw in people and get himself repeat customers. he is for sure a scammer, he doesn't even bother to buy his lots of culls/common Wheaties on a separate account.

There's nothing in the world to stop an unscrupulous vendor (oh, GASP-could it possibly be?) from buying a roll of these treasures from himself (different name and POB addr) and giving himself a juicy, grand feedback. And then another one from his sister and another one from her boyfriend, etc... If you're gullible enough to bet your life on the honesty and validity of these so-called "feedbacks" you'll be dead long before your time.
Anybody who thinks these seeded rolls are such a great idea should pony up and buy a couple dozen of them. I look forward to somebody doing that and posting an honest detailing of their results here.
