My brother picked a bunch up in the states. I think he said these were souvenirs from a silver mine? There is no reverse except for the incused design from the front of the wafer. It is about the same diameter as a nickel and about a third the thickness.

That is a very interesting piece. Never seen anything quite like it. I would be interested in picking up a couple if I could find them at spot somewhere.

I wonder why there aren't more 1/2 or 1/4 oz silver rounds out there.
