Hi
Spent two days trying to find suitable double pocket flips in the UK.

Anyone know of any suppliers?

I had a similar problem some years ago and ended up purchasing and imposting mine from the USA. There have been some steep postage increases since then and I do not know what I will do when my flips run out as it will no longer be economical to do so.
Regards,
Martin

Thanks Martin, that fills me with optimism.

Any suggestions for storage? I don't want them sealed. safealbums do some described as plasticizer free. Do you think they sound ok? The whole subject sounds fraught with problems.

I looked high and low and short of buying them direct from china and hoping for the best (they dont specify things like material) I got no where. However, I have looked at some roman coins which were stored in a PVC flip for 40 odd years and theres been no adverse effect (a nice texture feel to the Ancients which easily cleared away with white spirit). The one thing it did do was put a lot of gunk on the coins, but whether it was the PVC or the coins condition before hand, I will never know.

I found some English copper coins that I put in PVC flips when I was a boy recently and they were covered in some form of gunk which I know wasn't there the last time I saw them (30 years ago). I have not investigated how to proceed with them.

Thanks Ben
Whilst I don't have anything of value I think it would be a shame to spoil them by incorrect storage. The patina on some seems quite fragile. Not plucked up courage yet to apply ren wax. I might try the ones from safealbums and hope for the best.

Ditto. Found an old album started in the 60s the coins feel awful. They are now in a plastic bag awaiting attention, the album is in the bin.

Masis I sent him a message yesterday, he replied that they were just cheap plastic, so a non starter, but thanks.

These are good flips but as you can see the shipping costs to the UK are more than the flips.
