According to Gold coins of the world book(i found it on google books). Images are black n white and scan is not as good as it shall be, and I was not able to narrow it to which one is it. looks nice though. :)
Found it. :) Bust/Rv. Emperor and Valentinian II seated, Victory between 890 or 891 Solidus c-28 or c-29. I think that's the one. Rev is spelled same as this one VICTOR IAAVCC value 750 - 1500 according to that book.

I really don't know enough about ancient gold coins, not having any in my collection. Outwardly IMO the coin looks right. I see flow lines and the strike and shape of the letters also look good. The coin doesn't look cast. That being said, there are a lot of fakes being produced in your part of the world. This coin needs to be checked by an expert to confirm if it's real or not.

I don't understand how that fakes are made. Every second day last 3 4 months someone is caught at the border trying to smuggle ancients :P , NGC experts are not the option only normal numismatics but problem is if someone takes the coin to them next thing is 3 months questioning in the police. They maybe faked in bulgaria I don't know and I can't judge weather they are faked or not. I can't sell them anyway :).

You are looking under the wrong Emperor. Valentinian II was the son of Valentinian I. The emperor on this coin is Theodosius.

Unless you are digging these out of the ground yourself, the coins are coming from a seller. Where are the sellers getting them from? If I'm not mistaken the laws in your country pertain to real ancient coins not being sold or removed from the country. Nothing is said about reproductions being illegal. I hope your coin is real for your sake.

Old people from villages are selling those for the price of gold. Nothing more but that's another story -or give to their children or the childrens grand children most of the people have belt bags(i am talking about 80 90 year old persons). So here is the story - grand son comes and ask granpa I wan't to buy a car it costs 3000 euros can you give me the money. Grandad calculates 1 gram gold + price of the gold * amount of grams = 3000 euro. Hey echizento, I done it again. And the bad thing is they got melted most of the time. I think I explained that in few of my previous posts or sold in jewelry shop for the price of gold. And than the jeweler get's the money ............aaaaaaaaaaaaaa sorry... I tell a story just for a coin hehe. And probably the story is half understandable. sorry and good night. gmt+1 here.

RIC8b . It appears it is Valentinian II seated next to Theodosius I. The reverse which you are misreading is VICTORIA AVGG and the mint mark is beneath COM is Thessaloniki .

I MUST concur with echizento, when it comes to the possibility of fakes. This coin has no detracting, wear or minor nicks or cuts at all. That is absolutely amazing! From the pictures it looks like an absolutely superb coin, but if I were to buy it, in the need to do due diligence, I would take it to a leading museum to have it checked against their data base.
