Ok Folks, I am by no means a Canadian coin expert and am looking for some help here. In my change today I received the following coin. I'm looking to find out more about it, does it have any value and if so how much? Any thoughts on grade and such. Thought it was really neat to find this in my change.

It's not worth much more than face value but nice find. When pennies were still circulating a 1952 was a rare find in change but could be found roll hunting occasionally.

Older Canadian cents are actually easier to find in the US than newer ones. Many US counting machines flag out newer Canadian steel coins but pass the older copper ones, since they are so similar (to a machine that is) to US coins from pre-82 and that are still commonplace here.

Of the last dozen Canadian cents I found in the US, 3 were with King George and all but 1 of the remainder were copper Lizzies.

Anything you find in change is a great find for the price!

nice find. Face value worth...but the canadian pennies are becoming extinct in change, great catch!

We roll hunters will have to hop over the border and look through US penny rolls for the last of the circulating canadians soon :P

Ah yes, it seems like it was just yesterday when you could come home and go through your pocket change in hopes of finding some nice rare penny. I miss those days...

Thanks everyone... I think it's a neat find. Certainly one of the older Canadian coins I've found in my change.
